Artists

Tim Woodward (Actor) is known for his roles in the ITV police drama ‘Murder City’ the soap opera ‘Families’ and the BBC drama ‘Wings’. He also portrayed Leonard "Nipper" Read of Scotland Yard in the ITV adaptation of Jake Arnott's crime novel ‘He Kills Coppers’. He starred in the mini-series ‘Piece of Cake’ as the wealthy, eccentric and by-the-book Squadron Leader Rex. Theatre includes: the Royal National Theatre, the Cambridge Theatre Company, and the Citizens Theatre, Glasgow. Laertes in Hamlet,  Antony in Antony and Cleopatra and Jacques in As You Like It, both for the English Shakespeare Company. Other TV credits include:  The Bill, The Irish RM, Tales of the Unexpected, Pie in the Sky, ‘Absolutely Fabulous’, ‘Prime Suspect’, ‘The Ruth Rendell Mysteries’—’Bribery and Corruption with James D'Arcy, ‘New Tricks’, ‘Midsomer Murders’, ‘Murphy's Law’, ‘Rosemary & Thyme’ and Agatha Christie's ‘Poirot’. He is currently appearing in 'The Riots' at the Tricycle Theatre, London.

Nicolette Kay (Director) 

James Helps (Designer) trained at Wimbledon School of Art before taking up an Arts Council Designers Bursary at Theatre Workshop Stratford East, and at The Connaught Theatre Worthing.  Head of Design at the Arts Theatre in Ipswich and the Nuffield Theatre Southampton, awarded Designer of the Year in Northern Ireland for design work at the Lyric Belfast and the Belfast Opera House.  Designed the Time Out Critic's Choice production of Mary Stuart by Dacia Maraini.  Has worked with Show of Strength  and  the Backwell Playhouse Company (formerly the Headley Players) for over twenty years and designed the first season for Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory. Co-wrote and Produced “Monument” directed by Patrick Robinson and shown at the opening of the Birmingham Film Festival in 1987. Recently designed Happy Lands for Theatre Workshop, a community feature film released later this year. 

Alex Standen (Translator) is a teaching Fellow in the Italian Department at the University of Birmingham.  Her PHD was about the work of Dacia Maraini.
