The May June Workshops at the Pump Room
Come on in & try a workshop!

When: TBA

The workshops will run when there are enough participants to make them viable.
Each session will run for 2 hours.

If you wish to participate let us know.

The workshops are designed for adults of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re curious about drama, looking to boost confidence, or simply want to try something new in a relaxed environment, you are very welcome.

What to expect

New Shoes Theatre aims to provide a friendly, supportive atmosphere at the workshops, which take place in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. These sessions offer a playful and welcoming space to explore creativity, build confidence and connect with others — no previous drama experience required.

Each session focuses on a different aspect of creative expression, including improvisation, character work, voice, movement and gentle group exercises. The emphasis is on enjoyment, imagination and participation, not performance or pressure.

The workshops are led by Nicolette Kay, a professional actress, director and facilitator with extensive experience working in community and professional settings. Nicolette creates a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone can take part at their own pace.
